4th Of July Rice Krispy Bites

I am always on the look out for recipes and crafts that a little kid could help make. My daughter is 4 and LOVES cooking and art so I need fun recipes to keep up with her creative desire. These 4th of July rice krispy bites are perfect for kids to help out with and they love how they taste too! There are only a few steps and ingredients so it’s an ideal recipe for getting kids involved.

It doesn’t take very long to pull these 4th of July rice krispy bites together. It really only takes about 30 minutes from starting the recipe to being ready to serve.  Even if it’s not the 4th of July and you are using plain melting chocolate, these are perfect for that midnight sweet tooth (I wouldn’t even wait for them to firm up in that scenario, I would just go to town on the gooey mess).

Although I love this recipe for getting kids involved and midnight snacks, I know they are going to be a huge hit at 4th of July BBq’s and parties. Lots of recipes would be good for these events like loaded nachos or homemade corn dogs but these 4th of July rice krispy bites are just what you need to add that adorable festive pop of color!

A great tip for serving these patriotic treats to young kids is to stick a popsicle stick or skewer into them for easy mess free snacking! Kids and adults will love these yummy treats and will for sure be a show stopper at any 4th of July or memorial day party!
