It seems like everywhere you look on the internet or social media these days, you see all kinds of slime recipes floating around, all unique in their own way. There’s glitter slime, clear slime, magnetic slime—even glow in the dark slime. But my daughter’s favorite to play with this fluffy slime. Not only is it super easy for me to make, but I’ve found fluffy slime to be one of the more low-mess slimes.
Slime is a great sensory “toy” for kids to play with, as well as surprisingly calming. Storing slime is also easy—just make sure whatever container or bag you use is airtight, because when exposed to air, slime tends to dry out and becomes less malleable (AKA harder for your kiddos to play with).
First you want to get all your stuff out and ready. Get some hot water water and add in your tablespoon of borax. Mix until the water turns clear an set aside. Have all your other items need out and around you.
Now in a big bowl dump in your glue. Add in your 1/2 cup of water and mix.
Now add your shaving cream. I kind of eye ball this because “I’m a pro” but you can measure it out.
When mixing, I’d use a rubber spatula. Easier to stir with and clean.
Once You have it combined well add in your color.
Then once thats mixed in, add your contact solution. It should start to turn into slime.
Now ad in one tablespoon of borax mixture one at a time. If its too sticky add another spoon full.
Stir and once its not sticking to sides of the bowl you can begin to play!
It’ll be fluffy for about a day. Then it will sorta “settle” and become shiny and super stretchy!
