Normally my mother is the one to make the beef stroganoff. But last yesterday she was at the hospital all day with my great grandfather a.k.a. “Bumpa” (love that guy) so I was left to make it by myself. I don’t know why but I was always scared to make it. Kinda like my weird fear of serving lasagna…don’t judge.
Slow Cooker Refried Beans
Refried beans and I…..we go way back. From quick dinners in my recital days, to the broken hearts of middle school (oh lawdy), refried beans have always been my comfort food of choice.
Easy Homemade Pizza {Freezer-Friendly}
Ever since I can remember my family has had homemade pizza for dinner on Friday nights. So in that time we have gone through countless recipes.
But most of the recipes we’ve tried haven’t turned out and I was tired of pizza night being a total failure. I like good pizza and I like making good pizza, but when what I make tastes off, it’s a little discouraging. I knew good pizza was a possibility but I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong.
My friend (after hearing me rant about my epic failure) offered to give me her favorite recipe that has always worked for her. I eagerly accepted and tried it the following Friday….
SUCCESS!!!!
Never had I tasted something so lovely! Ever!
Homemade Freezer Biscuits
Since switching from eating already prepared food and snacks bought from the store, to cooking from scratch, we have discovered many amazing recipes. The children have also began to expect amazing home-cooked meals every time. Which is good! Right? They should crave real food and not a box of pop-tarts. But I don’t always have time to prepare a meal from scratch. Those are the times I rely on freezer cooking to save the day.
Fresh Pasta {No Machine Required}
The other day I had no clue what I was going to make for dinner. Like, no idea what so ever. So my sister volunteered to make some chicken noodle soup. My brother had been waiting for some chicken noodle soup for a while, so I was so excited. And then I found out that we didn’t have any pasta. Yeah.
